Africa never had a voice of her own instead the leaders want to turn it to an extension of Europe by imitating Europe. A legacy of colonialism which have continued till today because decades after the coloniser left, colonialism from within continues unabated.
But as Frantz Fanon, rightly noted in his book, The Wretched of the Earth, if the colonial situation must end, “Let us decide not to imitate Europe; let us combine our muscles and our brains in a new direction. Let us try to create the whole man, whom Europe has been incapable of bringing to triumphant birth.”
